"Prima®" · “The Deceiver”
I think a better name could not have been chosen for this beer because beyond the incredible play on words, it perfectly reflects the drinker's mood.
That's the feeling: it always feels like the first, and you're seized by an incredible desire to have another. That's the reason why I decided to only sip it very slowly from tiny glasses (also because I want to admire its marvelous color). It isn't strong, it isn't too full-bodied and it usually doesn't hit you right away. But if and when that happens, you can't do without it. Noble and a bit condescending, it is interesting but not flashy, elegant and not too assertive: perfect for us snobs!
It convinces you almost subliminally. I don't know why, but I like it, I really like it!
It's the "Deceiver".
Technical Chart:
Prima® is a dark double malt beer produced by way of infusion, with approximately 6.0% alcohol by volume (15.8 Plato degrees). What makes it so special is the aroma and light taste, which are unusual in a dark double malt beer.

Ingredients:
Water, with a total hardness of approximately 30 French degrees.

Hops: Hallertauer Magnum (1st and 2nd addition) and Hallertauer Saaz (3rd addition).

Pilsener, Munich, caramel and roasted malts from Germany and France.
Saccharomyces carlsber
gensis brewer's yeast from the laboratories of the Brewery University of Baviera (Weihenstephan). A different "strain" is used than the yeast used for Tipopils®, Rossascura® and Negra!®, which provides a different aroma and flavor
.

Original recipe developed by Birrificio Italiano® of Lurago Marinone.

Weak characteristics: flavor of malt, fresh, acidulous taste (citric), bitter aftertaste of yeast, plus a hint of "medicinal", aroma and fragrance of fruit (sorb, banana, melon and apricot), flowers (violet), and spices (nutmeg and cloves) .

Comments of Mastro Kuaska
(Lorenzo Dabove):

"Prima® is one of those beers that you could fall in love with. If you like a caramel taste, there's no escape! And since it's a beer with a surprising 6% alcohol content, you'll be tempted to drink a lot. Be careful! It's dangerous drinkable. I suggest serving it with sausage and charcuterie".

Prima® has been produced since October 1997, and boasts a growing number of "aficionados".
