SHAREVOLUTION – Beer collab from the future.

Limido Comasco (CO) and Longmont, Colorado (USA); January 16th 2017 – A pioneering brewer’s exchange program starts. Two cornerstones of respectively the Italian and English craft beer scene, Limido Comasco’s Birrificio Italiano (IT) and Longmont’s, CO Left Hand Brewing Company are proud to announce a wide-scale collaboration: SHAREVOLUTION – EVOLUZIONE BIRRARIA CONDIVISA. The program focuses on the physical exchange of two brewers, Francesca Guzzetti and Henry Myers, who will be spending each a training/working period at the host brewery. The exchange of techniques, ideals, skills will foster an osmotic process of mutual growth: the idea is that of a total, no-filter collaboration; which will range from the creation of collaborative recipes to the elaboration of shared distribution strategies, from the reciprocal learning of processes and techniques to the promotion of freshness and quality..

Not least, the collaboration will serve the purpose of promoting on a wide scale the beliefs and ideals of the craft beer industry, sending a strong message about how important the internal coherence of the industry itself and collaboration between operators can be, in coping with the attempts of multinational beer corporations – and crafty beer brands – at the craft market share.

The name SHAREVOLUTION includes the concepts of “sharing” and “evolution”. Sharing is evolving because it grants a mutual enrichment to those who practice it. Sharing ideas, techniques, tools and capitals for the achieving of a common purpose can allow independent small companies to face huge challenges.

Birrificio Italiano and Left Hand Brewing Co. wish this wide-scale collaboration/networking experiment will be replicated and used by craft breweries worldwide to work together and optimize their productive and logistic strategies, winning them an increased communicative impact on the general audience and, more generally, a strengthening against the possible blows perpetrated by “Big Beer”.

Francesca and Henry will report about their impressions and experiences during the exchange on Birrificio Italiano’s ( and Left Hand’s ( blogs. Follow them to find out more about the evolution of SHAREVOLUTION!

Birrificio Italiano is an Italian craft beer pioneer (est. 1994, open for business since 1996, first microbrewery in the Lombardy region) based in Limido Comasco (CO). Brewer and founder Agostino Arioli’s brewing concept focuses on the research of enjoyable beers, produced with the alchemic philosophy of non-interventionism: a brewer’s task consists not in “fixing” the finished product with corrective measures, but is instead to thoroughly observe the natural elements which concur to production. Knowing the complexity of nature will allow the brewer to create the ideal source conditions for a beer to spontaneously evolve towards the desired result: such process grants Birrificio Italiano’s beers the chance to be unfiltered, unpasteurized, and brewed without any kind of stabilizers, additives or centrifugations. This is how Tipopils, Nigredo, Bibock and a number of other classics are born; together with several seasonal brews and a product line, the BRQ series, completely dedicated to the research of experimental barrel-aged beers.
