That of Grätzers, or Grodziskies, is an ancient beer style indigenous to Poland. We revisited it with an alchemic twist, by brewing it almost exclusively with smoked wheat malt, hefty doses of hops and a load of raspberries added during the barrel-aging process! One of a kind, distinctively original while all the way easy to drink, Polock en Rouge is an Italian craft beer meant for conviviality, for the early days of Spring and for the colder ones of Winter, to be enjoyed by the fireplace as well as while sitting on the greenest of meadows.

Polock en Rouge is a shocking beer: it doesn’t hold back with its flavors of smoke, wood, just a hint of herbal freshness, while at the same time it hits both the nose and the palate with a keen-to-brutal shot of fresh fruit.
Brewed with the 90% of smoked wheat malts, it is liberally hopped with noble European varieties before being barrel-aged and added with hefty amounts of fresh raspberries.
Taste is acidic and fruity, body is light but animated by the fleshy, juicy structure of the berries. An atypical and dangerously drinkable craft beer, dedicated to those willing to travel beyond the usual.
Pairings
Ideal setting: Drink with friends. In considerable amounts. Perfect both for the spring and the coldest days of Winter, to be enjoyed by the fireplace while it’s snowing outside.
Food: White fish is an excellent pairing, stewed cod in particular. Try it with pork, or with hungarian-style gulyaszs.
